Things I’ve Built, Shipped And Given Away
Harrison Ward Technology is security first, and that carries into everything we build. Here’s the real work: live apps for families and small groups, tools I run for our clients, and free security playbooks from 30 years in the field.
Apps I’ve Built
Real products with real users, each self hosted on infrastructure I run.
BandWagon
Free carpools for bands, teams and school groups
Swaps the giant group text for a real ride board. Addresses stay private until a ride is locked in.
Rides to rehearsals and games get sorted out in a group text. Everyone's address and phone number gets shared with everyone, kids fall through the cracks, and the same few parents do all the driving.
- Private communities for each group, with their own members, events, rules and branding
- Parents ask for a ride by event, kid and direction. Others only see a general area until it's confirmed
- RouteAssist points drivers at requests that line up with a trip they're already making
- Ride day buttons plus a QR or 4 digit code to confirm pickup
- Branded text reminders (RCS) the day before and an hour before
- Organizer tools: approvals, driver rules, waitlists, calendar sync and plain reports
Free forever. Runs on donations and local sponsors.

HF Tracker
Harbor Freight prices, every tool, every day
A ground up rebuild of the old hfpricetracker.com that tells you in plain words whether to buy now or wait.
Shelf prices, instant savings, coupons, Inside Track Club deals and Parking Lot Sales all stack differently, and a "sale" isn't always a deal.
- Daily price checks on about 7,000 tools, coupons read every 6 hours
- A price chart for every tool with the lowest price ever and a fake sale check
- A Buy Now Or Wait call with the reasons spelled out
- Watches on tools, brands or keywords with email, push or text alerts
- Forward a receipt and it tracks savings and price adjustment chances
- A Chrome extension that shows price history right on harborfreight.com

Find My Jag
Every band photo of your kid, found for you
A private photo finder for Flower Mound High School band families. It digs through thousands of photos every night and pulls out every shot of your kid.
The band's photo site has a huge pile of pictures from every game, contest and trip. Finding your own kid means clicking through gallery after gallery.
- Nightly sync from the band's photo site, with a home relay as backup
- Face matching shared across families: name a kid once, everyone benefits
- "Is this your Jag?" questions when a match isn't sure
- Tags, burst grouping and "Roar" upvotes so the best shots rise to the top
- 14 day share links for grandparents, zip downloads and senior albums
- Nothing public, signed expiring photo links, and parents can turn face finding off
Screenshots use drawn placeholder photos and made up names. No real kids appear here.

HWTech LaunchPad
Domains set up right, every time, then watched
Give it one main domain and any number of extras, and it handles Cloudflare, email security, redirects, hardening and certificates in one pass for each client.
Setting up a batch of domains by hand means dozens of DNS records, email settings and security toggles per domain. One missed step leaves a domain open to spoofing.
- Batch deploy from a client's own Cloudflare account
- Extra domains redirect and get their email locked down so nobody can spoof them
- Real email on the main domain with SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MTA-STS, TLS-RPT and BIMI
- Certificates built in: issue, auto renew, deliver and verify they're installed
- Audits every few minutes with drift alerts and a client health report
- Dry run first, typed confirmation for risky changes, and one click undo
Built for Harrison Ward Technology clients. Replaced my earlier DomainKeeper and CertWard tools.

Hearth
A family dashboard for the kitchen wall
Any TV, iPad or browser becomes a live home screen with the calendar, photos, countdowns, weather and more.
Paid digital signage is built for businesses. Families end up with a paper calendar, a group text and a weather app, none of it on the wall.
- Drag and drop page editor with dozens of widgets
- Pair any screen in seconds with a code or QR
- Playlists that change by time of day, updates in about a second
- Phone remote, kids remote and cast a photo to any screen
- Raspberry Pi kiosk with a physical button and TV power control
- Severe weather takeovers, holiday themes and offline mode

BoosterHuddle
One platform that runs a booster club
Built mobile first, because club life happens in the bleachers.
Booster clubs run on a pile of separate apps and a spreadsheet only the treasurer understands. Every May the officers turn over and half of it gets lost.
- A member home page per family: events, balances with a Pay button, hours and tickets
- Mission Control for officers: approvals, expenses, money and the week ahead
- Per student balances, payment plans and CSV handoff exports
- Volunteer signups, GPS check-in and QR trip rosters
- Phone ticket scanner, concession register and push to talk walkie
- 50 modules and 97 automated tests

Clearance Hunt
Home Depot clearance and penny deals (paused)
A morning scanner for clearance across five DFW stores, built for friends who hunt markdowns together.
Home Depot's site makes it hard to see what's marked down at a specific store, how far it dropped, or when it drops next.
- Daily scans with every price saved
- Price history across stores with next drop guesses
- Penny hunt scores and keyword alerts
- A Where To Go Today trip planner
- Home nodes that check from a normal home connection
Paused: Home Depot's data needs a paid proxy to reach reliably.

Smaller Tools
Chrome extensionReceipt Sender
One click turns any web page into a receipt in SparkReceipt or Expensify, with a backup copy saved every time.
Windows appStarlink Status Kit
Reads a Starlink dish's own data and answers in plain English: online, paused, slowed, blocked sky, or waiting on a reboot.
GiftLabels.app
QR gift tags that show a Jurassic Park meme until Christmas morning, then reveal who the present is for.
PickupPal
A school pickup line app to replace paper hangtags, with an iPad release screen and a TV board showing who's next.

Plain English guides anyone can use. No signup, no sales pitch. All on GitHub.
